What's Chabad?

Chabad is founded on the principles of unwavering love for every Jew, open access to Judaic knowledge and experience, and joy permeating all.

We offer an open door at all hours of the day and night, and are eager to make your time at Cortland positive and uplifting.

No previous background knowledge or experience is assumed, we try to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, at any level of knowledge or observance.

Who's Chabad?

Chabad centers throughout the world are a project of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.

Here at Cortland, Chabad is run by the Hecht family (more about us below!).

Who pays you?

Every Chabad center is financially autonomous. Chabad at Cortland is supported by generous donations from friends, family, and alumni.

You can help by sponsoring a Shabbat or holiday event, or making a general donation towards operating costs.
